Winter Light: A Creative Reset Retreat

Sunday, October 11, 2026

10am -4:30pm

You’re invited to a nourishing, day-long retreat designed to rekindle your creative energy through expressive and contemplative practices such as photography, writing, poetry, and mindfulness.

Participants will move through the day at a leisurely pace, rotating between mindfulness practices, expressive photography prompts and reflective writing. As a small group, we will stoke the fires of inspiration and utilize creativity as a lens in itself to foster curiosity and clarity.

You'll leave the retreat with a renewed connection to your creativity and be ready to employ simple practices to keep the inspiration flowing throughout the year. Whether you're an artist, business owner, or simply looking for more creativity in daily life, don't miss this opportunity to start the year off with this refreshing reset.

Creativity Circle

July 12th, 2026 9:30am-11:30am

In this unhurried two hour gathering, we'll open with a gentle breathwork and meditation practice to settle the body and come into more presence. From there, we'll move into writing and a photography walk, noticing and expressing what is alive in this moment. Poetry and music will weave through the afternoon to deepen the creative current. We'll close with time to share what stirred and what we want to carry forward. The gift of Christina Watka's art installation will be a treat to experience in the space as well.

Julie McCarter is a fine art photographer and meditation/breathwork guide whose work explores the gifts of creative practice.

Expressive Photography 1:1 Session

Are you curious about fine tuning your own creative voice ? Do you want to deepen your ability to connect with your authentic self ?

If so, this three hour 1:1 session might be a great fit for you. Sessions often take place outdoors in a natural setting of your choosing or virtually from anywhere. We will work with elements in nature to practice mindfulness and deepen connection to ourselves through a felt-sense of the present moment. The session will be designed to best suit your needs, but some combination of photographic exercises, writing prompts and and reflection will be put into practice. You will leave the session with a mindfulness and photography practice that you can use for continued exploration.
